Training & Safety
At All Systems Installation, we have implemented a formal structured-cable training program for our technicians and installers. Our training program includes the following …
- Monthly training sessions that utilize vendor and industry technical support, as well as our own training and supervisory staff.
- Our training and supervisory staff constantly monitors the work being performed and conducts on-the-job training when appropriate.
- New employees are teamed with experienced technicians and are constantly monitored and reviewed by technicians, supervisors and training staff.
- Employees are tested at six-month intervals for accomplishment of predetermined tasks. The testing is by actual hands-on performance of specific tasks, either in the field or at our own BICSI-certified training facility.
- We maintain an instructional library of printed material and videotapes available to employees for use in training and safety instruction.
- As part of the introductory and ongoing training, the employees must attend various safety-training sessions as required by OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
In addition to industry-based training, we have implemented an in-house training program to prepare our technicians and installers to pass and maintain the State of Minnesota’s Power-Limited Licensing examination and continuing education requirements.
Safety
We have developed an OSHA-approved safety program — Hazardous Awareness Training or H.A.T. — to promote and monitor a safe working environment for our employees. The safety committee consists of the director and office and field personnel. The safety director is responsible for monitoring and updating the safety program and acting on recommendations of the safety committee in order to maintain a safe working environment.
